We just bought our place I'm St. Germaine and frequent the Bears Den every time we are up there. Michelle the waitress is the best, making us feel right at home! Great service! Craig the cook does an excellent job, we've never had a bad meal, everything tastes fresh and is always served piping hot! When Craig is not busy he always takes the time to say hi to everyone in the dining room. The Bears Den should be a must try on your visit

This is a place where it doesn't take long for everyone to know your name. We stopped in once, and on our return visit weeks later they remembered us. Very cool. We now go fairly regularly and enjoy a wide selection of seasonal draft beers. Full bar. We have had fantastic burgers here and they have the deep fried green beans that almost seem healthy! Super jukebox, occasional live music, and often a character or two at the bar.

Went there last night. The food was excellent. There were 3 of us and we all ordered a different fish. We loved it. The place is pretty and there was live entertainment which was lovely. We did not wait for a table since we arrived late. The wait for our meal was reasonable. The improvements could be in the appearance of the wait staff. They wore no head coverings and had much messy hair which they often touched and tossed. This could also be a refection of the kitchen staff. All in all 3 stars. But we will try again.

This place used to be good, but those days and that menu are long gone. Terrible service (the waitress was bizarrely behaved), the soup came after the meal, the food was overpriced and my fish was terrible (low quality, too heavily breaded freezer cake style). We won't go back. It gets 2 stars just for the lovely view of the lake. The restaurant itself has no redeemable qualities.

Horrible pizza! I ordered three pizzas for take out. They taste exactly like frozen pizza, with a little extra cheese thrown on top. They are even the same size, twelve inches. The Bartender forgot to give me back my credit card, so I had to drive all the way back to this hole in the wall to get it back.

Overpriced at 310 a night for the resort. The bar is still "cig smokey inside" needs updating with the dead animal bar but the locals r fun and welcoming

Stopped originally, because we wanted lunch and couldn't find anything open on mon. in our area. we thought of Black Bear . It is a bar and resort. Should be open. It was and the bartender (maybe owner) was welcoming and friendly and made great Bloody Mary's. We stayed at the bar and had apps. fine. They have a variety of burgers. We each had a different one. They were really good and big. Went again with friends after a golf day and sat outside in the sun. They were very accomidating.Didn't actually think they usually waited on people outdoors. Couldn't have been nicer. Again had good burgers and fry baskets. We like and will come again. Take a walk around the grounds, beautiful spot on the lake. This was Aug. 2014

If I remember correctly they have a stuffed bear to greet you when you walk in. The bar is decent size, they have lots of liquor and bottled beer. They didn't have any beer on there tap at the time on the 4th of July weekend a year ago. They had New Glarus beer so I was happy. Also, they have lots of arcade games and it looks really clean inside. The resort I know nothing about, it looks like it might be bigger than some of the others on the lake, but that doesn't make it better. I'm not sure this place is a restaurant but I will be going up in a couple weeks and post an update when I do.
